Important Notice Regarding Compensation

Commissions, fees, and all compensation for real estate brokerage services are fully negotiable and are not set by law. Neither the Minnesota Real Estate Commission nor any other government agency sets or requires specific commission rates. All compensation is determined solely by written agreement between the broker and the client.

Minnesota Law Requirement (Minn. Stat. § 82.66): Notice: The compensation for the sale, lease, rental, or management of real property shall be determined between each individual broker and the broker’s client.

Post-NAR Settlement Disclosure (Effective August 17, 2024): This brokerage fully complies with the National Association of REALTORS® settlement. Offers of compensation to buyer brokers are no longer allowed on the MLS. Any cooperative compensation is fully negotiable between the parties. Brokerage services are never free unless no compensation will be received from any source. All compensation terms are subject to negotiation.

For Sellers / Listing Agreements: The seller and listing broker will negotiate and agree upon the compensation to be paid to the listing broker. Any offer of compensation to a buyer’s broker or cooperating broker is fully negotiable and requires the seller’s prior written approval. The seller has the right to negotiate and refuse any proposed cooperative compensation.

For Buyers / Buyer Representation Agreements: The buyer and buyer’s broker have agreed upon the specific amount or rate of compensation the buyer’s broker will receive. This compensation is objectively ascertainable (for example: a fixed fee, a specific percentage of the purchase price, or another clear method) and is fully disclosed in this agreement. The buyer’s broker will not receive compensation from any source that exceeds the amount or rate agreed upon with the buyer.

Home Health Care

Home Health Care delivers medical services in the home under the direction of a physician, often following a hospital stay or for management of chronic conditions. Services may include skilled nursing, therapy, and clinical monitoring. Home Health can also be coordinated alongside hospice care or combined with non-medical home care to support broader needs.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Home Health Care.

What is home health care?
+
Home health care provides clinical or skilled health services in a person's home. Depending on medical needs, services may include skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and certain home health aide services.
What is the difference between home health care and home care?
+
Home health care is generally medical or clinical care delivered by qualified health professionals. Home care generally provides non-medical assistance such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, companionship, and household tasks. A person may receive both types of services at the same time.
Who qualifies for home health care?
+
Eligibility depends on the payer and services needed. For Medicare-covered home health services, a person generally must need qualifying part-time or intermittent skilled services, meet Medicare's homebound criteria, and have care ordered by an eligible health care provider.
What services does home health care provide?
+
Services may include skilled nursing, wound care, medication education, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, medical social services, and qualifying home health aide services.
Does Medicare cover home health care?
+
Medicare may cover eligible home health services when specific requirements are met. Medicare does not generally cover 24-hour home care, meal delivery, or personal care when personal care is the only service needed.
Do I need a doctor's order for home health care?
+
For Medicare-covered home health services, care must be ordered by an eligible health care provider and provided through a Medicare-certified home health agency.
Can home health care help after a hospital stay?
+
Yes. Home health is commonly used to help people recover or manage health needs at home after hospitalization, surgery, illness, or injury.
How do I choose a home health agency?
+
Consider services offered, availability, communication, clinical experience, insurance participation, patient experience, and quality measures. Medicare also publishes quality and patient survey ratings for Medicare-certified home health agencies.
